Born of innate wisdom...
and passed down from generation to generation by word of mouth, the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu had fallen into relative obscurity when it was dramatically revived in the early 1900's by Master Jiro Murai in Japan.
...After clearing himself of life threatening illness, Master Mural devoted the rest of his life to the research and development of Jin Shin Jyutsu. He gathered insight from a range of experiences and resources, including The Kojiki (a Shinto text). His research is preserved in the Imperial Court Archives of Japan. The resulting knowledge of Jin Shin Jyutsu was passed to Mary Eno (later Mary Burmeister), who brought it to the United States in the 1950's.

Mary began teaching the Art to others in the early 1960's, and today there are thousands of students through the United States and around the world.  The translated meaning of  the words "Jin Shin Jyutsu" is the "Creator's Art though compassionate man".

Master Murai describes energy pathways in the body  that feed life into all cells.  When one or more of these paths become blocked, this can lead to discomfort or pain.  The purpose of Jin Shin Jyutsu is to release the tensions within us that cause various physical symptoms.
